The location was magnificent, for example, Stanhope Methodist Church was at a walking distance from the hotel. Plus it was in a beautiful area. I ate at a nice restaurant with Super Friendly Service.

We thoroughly enjoyed this ancient hotel. the food was outstanding, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a lovely location close enough to Stanhope, the restaurant in the evening, and the coast. If we were in the area again, we would certainly stop again.

I recently stayed at Stanhope Old Hall for a weekend getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The attention to detail in the high-quality interior design of the entire place was impressive. The dinner served was outstanding and reasonably priced. We stayed in a lovely family room with two princess beds, which our nine-year-old absolutely loved. The addition of animals like horse Mary, pigs, a peacock family, and chickens made our stay even more enjoyable. The surrounding area was beautiful, perfect for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend this charming B&B and look forward to returning in the future.
Can recommend this hotel.

This hotel truly exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and well-furnished, with a comfortable bed and high-quality bedding. The modern bathroom was clean and the tiling was impressive. The staff, especially Diane, Frank, and Mary, made us feel incredibly welcome. The breakfast was superb, with a generous English plate and a variety of other options. The value for money and the hotel's location in a beautiful area made our stay even better.
Absolutely nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect.

Absolutely loved the free WiFi and the cozy fireplace in the lobby. Great location near Hamsterley Forest and High Force. The shared lounge area was a bonus.
Who needs a chair in a hotel room anyway? So overrated.

I must say that the hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. They tried their best to make our stay comfortable and went out of their way to ensure our needs were met. The building itself was full of character and had a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, which was a pleasant surprise. the fact that the staff were willing to provide a gluten-free breakfast for someone with dietary restrictions was much appreciated.
Let me start by saying that my experience at this hotel during Christmas was less than ideal. there were no facilities for an evening meal or any alcohol, which was a major disappointment.
